Job Title: Audit Specialist
Department: Audit
Responsible for successfully completing audits, requirements, and all submissions in a timely accurate manner. Perform these audits in compliance with the regulatory boards, whether federal and/or state, regarding regulations, controls, statutes, reserves, licenses, as well as all internal controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Presenting a neat, clean, well-groomed business casual appearance always.
• Cooperating and communicating with fellow employees in all departments and always striving for mutual respect and feeling of camaraderie.
• Reporting for work on time and having flexibility to work overtime, and/or changing hours or days off.
• Knowledge of the Gaming Control Board (GCB) regulations and Internal Control procedures and expectations of the casino staff
• Accepting direction from supervisor and manager and demonstrating ability to profit from constructive criticism.
• Informing the supervisor of all pertinent information and reporting any irregularities to the Company.
• Being proficient and accurate in all job duties and taking advantage of opportunities to improve your job knowledge and performance.
• Knowing, understanding and complying with established Company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Responsible for auditing operational and count team paperwork in association with daily audit completion.
• Prepare exception reports for errors during the audit process and issuing them to the correct departments with Internal Control
• Maintaining an orderly, clean, and attractive working area.
• Performing other duties as requested or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS :

Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively communicate with guests, employees, supervisors, and external organizations. Must have knowledge of Finance operations. Must be reliable, responsible and dependable. Must have a knowledge of using copy machine and computer, ie Word/Excel. Must be able to see computer screens to read, comprehend, and enter data.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Previous experience with the gaming industry
• Casino operations or auditing experience preferred
• High School diploma or the equivalent
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols
• Remembering details, using arithmetic, reading, examining & observing details
• Work can be in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy and smoke-filled environment
• Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, sitting, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area. Constant contact with fellow team members.
• Ability to climb, bend, reach, pull up to 35 pounds, walk, stand and sit for the duration of the shift.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
• Proficient math skills required, and must be able to efficiently operate a calculator
COMPUTER SKILLS:
• Must be proficient in related gaming software as well as Microsoft applications, most importantly Microsoft Excel
