As an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM), you will provide high-quality, patient- and family-centered nursing care while partnering with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to promote optimal health outcomes. You will utilize critical thinking, sound clinical judgment, and excellent communication skills to assess resident needs, coordinate care, and ensure a safe and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Licensure: Active, unencumbered LPN license in the State of South Carolina & Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a long-term care or supervisory capacity preferred.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of SC DPH nursing home regulations, the SC Nurse Practice Act, and standard infection control protocols.

SC Regulatory Context

Under the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act (Section 40-33-42), an LPN is authorized to provide nursing care, participate in patient care planning, and supervise subordinate personnel (such as CNAs) under the supervision of an RN or physician. Furthermore, South Carolina DPH Regulation 61-17 for Nursing Homes requires the facility to designate a full-time RN as the Director of Nursing, while allowing facilities the operational flexibility to utilize qualified LPNs in supportive and delegated administrative/supervisory roles.
