Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Research Associate to support ongoing research on Pollen Allergy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human biology and hands-on experience with protein extraction and biological sample handling. This role requires regular on-site work and collaboration with the research team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform protein extraction and sample preparation for proteomics analyses (e.g., LC-MS workflows)
- Handle and process various biological samples, including human blood and related specimens
- Assist in maintaining laboratory organization, documentation, and inventory
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines
- Support data collection and basic data organization as needed
- Collaborate with lab members and contribute to ongoing research projects
Minimum

Qualifications:
- Graduate degree (M.S. or equivalent) in Biology, Biochemistry, Medical Degree
- Strong background in biological systems, particularly human biology
- Hands-on experience with protein extraction techniques
- Experience handling biological samples, including blood
- Prior experience working in a proteomics or proteomics-related facility
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to commute from Edmond to the University of Oklahoma
- (Norman campus) once or twice per week
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Preferred

Qualifications:
- Familiarity with LC-MS-based proteomics workflows
- Experience with laboratory data management and documentation practice
