Work Shift: 11pm - 7:30am Monday - Friday with alternating Saturdays.
The Target Pay Rate for this position is $18.46 hourly. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.

Pourchemistryspecimens intoappropriate bar-codedtubes
Ensure bar-coded racks are arranged correctly and loadedontoinstruments
Accurately label processing tubes when building loads
Scan samples tolibrary
Centrifuge samples
Find missingsamples Print and reconcile queue list
Library all samples
Maintain all equipment including hoods, centrifuges, etc.
Complete QNS forms on short samples.
Check and resolvequeuelist daily.
Find and pull original TRF forms.
Awareness of qualitycontrol and calibration
Cross-trainand developknowledge of multiple specialtieswithin department/lab
Applies job skills and lab policies and proceduresto complete a variety of tasks
Reads,understandsand follows applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), including safety and quality procedures. Maintains clean and organized workarea Restockssupplies as needed.
Participates in improvinglab efficiency, quality, and cooperation.
Consult with senior peers on non-complexChemistrytasks to learn through experience
Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent,prior lab experience and/or 2, 3 or 4 yeardegree inScience-related field preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Laboratory skills, with experience setting up, running and operating lab instrumentspreferred but notrequired
Knowledge of medical and laboratory terminology andChemistryprocedures and equipment helpful.

Communication skills, both verbal and written

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Laboratory environment with potential biohazards present
Normallyreceives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
Work under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment.
Potential forexposure to agents known to cause zoonotic disease in humans and use of potentially hazardous chemicals as defined by the National Hazard Communication Standards. A complete list of such chemicals is available from department supervision.
