The Opportunity

We have a great opportunity for an Onsite Chemist Technician who is excited by the variety this role offers. As a Chemist Technician in the Geo-Analytical Lab, you will be responsible for method development and validation, instrument trouble shooting and calibration. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the field of Geo-analytical testing and gain hands-on experience with analytical equipment.

This full time position will be based in regional WA on a mine site laboratory and is open to sponsorship for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating and maintaining instruments,
  • Conducting laboratory testing
  • Interpreting data
  • Providing accurate analytical reports to clients

About You

  • A formal qualification in Chemistry, such as a Bachelor of Science highly regarded
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Ensure all work practices within the area are performed to the relevant standards and procedures
  • Provision of quality data and turnaround within clients' specified requirements
  • Applying the quality and continuous improvement system processes
  • Ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures
  • Processing and interpreting data
  • Troubleshoot laboratory equipment
  • Familiarity with mineral processing principles and techniques.
  • Computer literacy skills, preferably with a laboratory LIMS.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Strong Communication and Leadership Skills.
