Perform testing and analysis in accordance with the standard/in-house methods and to comply with QA/QC procedures.
· To ensure timeliness, precision and accuracy of analytical results to meet turnaround time.
· Effective implementation and maintenance of MS ISO/IEC 17025 as well as Group Quality System.
· Adhere to group HSE safety procedures.
· Ensure that information from the clients is kept as strictly confidential and never revealed to the third party.
· Ensure all analytical equipment, apparatus etc are maintained and calibrated as per the required schedule.
· Ensure root-cause of all non-conformities or customer complaints are to be investigated and identified with appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
· To treat proficiency Testing Programmed or Round Robin seriously and make sure the result obtained is most accurate and precise.
· To train, supervise and monitor lab technicians /Junior Staff with assigned test methods and procedures.
· To ensure all controlled quality procedures, test methods and document are kept confidentially and restricted within SGS premise.
· Practice Good Housekeeping and Good Laboratory practice.
· Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements.
· Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by your reporting manager and/or Senior Management
· Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field from recognized university/college
· Minimum 1-4 years’ experience in relevant analytical laboratory however fresh graduates with right and positive attitude are acceptable
