The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to Supervisor, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Malvern, PA 19355

Schedule: 1st Shift/ M-F 7:30am - 4pm

Hourly Rate: $22.50

What we’re looking for 

· Education: High School Diploma or GED required

· Experience 2+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or chemical handling

· Collaboration Tool: Knowledge of Information, intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, and security clearances.

• Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing.

• Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can-do attitude.

• Must be able to lift 50lbs.

• Travel may be required from building to building.

How you will thrive and create an impact 

Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

• Perform daily review of chemical inventory and timely resolution of chemical inventory, planning, and supply chain issues.

• Reviews and reconciles chemical inventory in all labs annually.

• Reconciles the chemical materials for each lab and ensures the accuracy of chemical data in the database.

• Performs and reconciles routine cycle counts.

• Communicates with suppliers as needed for proof of delivery.

• Investigates and resolves shipment discrepancies, including expiration issues, duplicates, overages, incorrect items, and no‑charge replacements

• Works with material purchasing to optimize inventory investment.

• Performs other duties as assigned. ​
