Basic Purpose:

Manufacturing of Bulk Pharmaceutical Batches.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and sanitization of Compounding equipment such as Tanks, Mixers, Pumps and other ancillary equipment.
  • Weighing of raw materials as specified by the Master Batch Formula.
  • Manufacturing of bulk pharmaceutical batches through the operation of Compounding equipment and addition of raw materials as specified by the Standard Operating Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Documenting information completely and accurately and reviewing documentation thoroughly.
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices, and compliance in Safety and SOP Training.
  • Ability to use steam water, purified water, and manual and automated equipment in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Ability to safely and accurately handle and weigh raw materials using Powered Industrial Trucks and other equipment and tools.
  • Maintain current training status on all SOP, Safety Policies, and departmental tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Physical Requirements:

The following describes the general knowledge, skills, qualifications, and physical requirements normally associated with performing the essential functions of this job. Education/Training/Work Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Fundamental knowledge of cGMP’s, GDP’s and previous pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing is desirable.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good math, communication (written and verbal), time management, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness when documenting information and/or reviewing documents.
  • Some mechanical aptitude.

Equipment and Applications:

  • Windows based applications, parts washer, scales, drum roller, manufacturing tanks, water systems, pumps, mills, mixers
  • Powered Industrial Trucks-Must obtain and then maintain issued Powered Industrial Truck license.
  • Drum Hauler-Must obtain and then maintain a company issued license to operate the Drum Hauler

Work Environment and Physical Demands (List required PPE’s):

  • Ability to work in a wet environment requiring additional PPE.
  • Maintain all manufacturing areas in a clean and sanitary condition and in compliance with GMP’s.
  • Ability to wear a respirator or PAPR.
  • Ability to wear steel toed shoes.
  • Be able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs.
  • Obey all facility safety policies.
  • Obey all company rules and policies.
