About the Program

The Air Liquide Leading EXcellence (ALLEX) Program is Air Liquide's international graduate program for talented and ambitious fresh graduates from all over Europe.

By participating in this program, you will have the opportunity to kick start your career by making an important contribution to your team and developing your skills on a professional and personal level.

As an ALLEX participant you will:

  • Hold a permanent position with responsibilities

  • Develop yourself through a 6-month international assignment within Europe after 18 months in your initial role. You will discover another business area, activities, country and working environment of Air Liquide.

  • Benefit from an international network: through physical and virtual events, development programs and mentoring

Your initial role:

  • You are part of an agile research team and support innovation projects by leading the assessment of novel process schemes in terms of economic and environmental benefits using streamlined methodologies.

  • You’ll find the best combination of customers and Air Liquide technologies to achieve the largest improvement in terms of economics and overall environmental footprint.

  • You'll conduct feasibility studies, including cost estimation, technological benchmarking and business cases, to serve as the basis for process scale-up.

  • You’ll support conceptual design of competitive process schemes by modeling and simulation.

  • You’ll work closely with other Air Liquide entities globally, collaborating strongly in interdisciplinary teams, and providing strategic insigths.

  • You’ll ensure a close cooperation with internal and external customers, academics and start-ups accompanies the innovative growth of the working area.

Are you a match?

  • Education: Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Technical Chemistry.

  • Technical Skills: In depth know-how in the field of process development and evaluation, reaction engineering, thermal processes or comparable subject areas. Familiarity with programming/simulation tools (Aspen Plus, Python) and a first professional experience as research engineer in these fields is a plus.

  • Soft Skills: High level of self-initiative, excellent analytical capacity, ability to communicate technical findings within international teams of various entities, creativity for new solutions and open mind-set.

  • Language: Fluency in written and spoken English is required. German useful but not mandatory.
