Job Description

Job Responsibilities

The Chemical Operatoris responsible formaintainingsafety, plant production, operatingefficiencyand regulatory compliance

  • Followsandencouragesothers to follow all organizational safety rules and practices.

  • Fosters &maintainsa positive work environment.

  • Performs basic tasks interacting with pumps, pipes, valves, and HMIs to prepare and charge material into the manufacturing batch process.

  • Operatesa forklift to load/unload trailers and transport materials.

  • Performs basic lab testing.

  • Countsand report inventory daily andassistmonthly inventory counts.

  • Folowsand perform lock out tag out (LOTO) for maintenance work on equipment.

  • Maintain workareain a clean, organized, and safe environment.

  • Maintainaccuraterecords including batch sheets, lab data entries, and shift turnover documents.

  • Recommends methods to improve production methods and equipment.

  • Assistsothers in troubleshooting problems.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications/ Requirements

  • Basic computer literacy.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Previouschemical plant experience preferred.

  • Ability to climb steps, stairs, and ladders on a repetitive basis.

  • Basic computer literacy.

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations necessary forposition’sessential duties.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently

  • Reliable transportation for attendancerequired

  • Dependability and Punctuality are key ingredients to be successful in this position.
