Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 / hour


All Chemical Operator positions exist with an expectation that the individual will work safely according to policies and procedures and that any operator will take ownership of their safety and the safety of their co-workers. This is an entry level position responsible for performing all repetitive/routine tasks associated with daily production. Assigned operators can work in Alcoholates, Boranes, PPD, MOX and cylinder processing.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

· Follows operating procedures, site standards and policies, etc. to ensure the safe and efficient operations at the site.· Operator who receives training from others on tasks. With training is able to perform all repetitive/routine tasks without direction.· Assists in adjusting product in the modification, conditioning of storage tanks to complete a batch and adjust material to specifications with the help of experienced operators.· Samples products in storage tanks.· Assists experienced operator in transferring and filtering the product from reactors to dryers or tank farm.· Assists senior operator in handling and transferring raw materials from bulk and semi-bulk storage tanks, tote bins, drums, bags, etc. to adjust and makeup products.· Conducts routine inspections and monitors equipment in either the MOX, PPD, Alcoholates, Boranes and cylinder processing areas.· Utilizes forklift to move packaged goods, equipment as required.· Maintains high level of housekeeping in assigned work areas. · Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

· Ability to work in a 24/5 or 24/7 work environment

  • Mechanically inclined and able to work with common hand tools (wrenches, ratchets, Air/battery operated tools).
  • Troubleshooting skills to recognize and address minor problems and would seek help for resolution.
  • Basic Math skills (add/subtract/multiple and divide, fraction to decimal conversions).
  • Basic computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Office, or equivalent mail system.
  • Understand the basic safe working practices.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (ie: face shields, hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, clothing, etc).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license.
  • Strong team player and the ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce.

Prefer:· Experience working in a chemical/industrial manufacturing 24/7 or 24/5 environment desired· Experience with Standard Operating Procedures/Work Orders desired.· Ability to operate a forklift desired.· Experience wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) including respirators desired. Educational Requirements:
