Department: Engineering

Reports To: Engineering Manager

Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications

Position Overview

We are seeking a Chemical Engineer to join our Engineering team. This position will serve as the Application Engineer for assigned projects, working closely with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Estimating, vendors, and customers to develop solutions that meet customer specifications and project requirements.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience, strong technical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work directly with customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Application Engineer for assigned projects and coordinate with Sales and Engineering to meet customer requirements.
  • Review and interpret customer specifications and incorporate requirements into project designs.
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting, complaints, warranty claims, and return goods authorization (RGA) matters.
  • Perform applicable equipment calculations.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, HAZOPs, and vendor bid evaluations.
  • Develop equipment arrangements, equipment specifications, data sheets, vendor proposals, and technical studies.
  • Understand and create process flow diagrams.
  • Create and modify design workbooks using customer-supplied data.
  • Provide engineering support to Project Management and Estimating.
  • Assist with technical proposals and project cost estimates.
  • Recommend modifications to standard products to meet individual customer requirements while considering practical and economic limitations.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, business trade shows, and field pilot studies as needed.
  • Work with customers and internal teams to troubleshoot technical issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline preferred.
  • 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience preferred.
  • Experience with chemical/process engineering and industrial equipment applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret customer specifications and technical documentation.
  • Experience creating and interpreting process flow diagrams.
  • Ability to perform engineering calculations.
  • Understanding of equipment specifications, technical studies, and design documentation.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Estimating.
  • Ability to participate in design reviews, risk assessments, HAZOPs, and vendor evaluations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

This is a day-shift, direct-hire opportunity.
