Job Description

We are seeking a motivated engineer to work closely with the Facilities Manager and our Chemical Systems Technicians supporting our factory located in Sturbridge, MA. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the design and implementation of chemical processes, instrumentation, and equipment to ensure effectiveness in process engineering and design to bring manufacturing/production efforts to scale with maximum efficiency and productivity. They will perform trials, tests and/or experiments to support operations and engineering activities. They will assist manufacturing operations in problem solving with regards to equipment and systems. They will develop and recommend new process formulas and technologies to achieve cost effectiveness and improved product quality. They will establish operating equipment specifications and improve manufacturing techniques.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management spare parts inventory
  • Research equipment upgrades
  • Assist in Troubleshooting and repairs
  • Oversee pollution abatement operations
  • Aid in adherence to environmental regulations
  • Chemical inventory and ordering
  • Invoice approval
  • Oversee Analytical Lab Testing operations
    • Use and Maintenance of Energy Dispersive Xray Fluorescents Spectrometer
    • Titrator
    • Fluoride Testing
  • Update and implement P&ID
  • Work with Electrical Controls Engineers and Technicians
  • Support Production equipment

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree Chemical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Sound Chemical aptitude in inorganic and organic chemistry
  • Experience with MS Office required.
  • Ability to work in both a team setting and independently required.

    • Maintain discretion when working with confidential and proprietary information
    • Strict adherence to Company safety policies and procedures

* Hiring Range:

$80,000 - $122,000

Please note that the final offer may vary within this range based on a candidate's experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity considerations.
