General Summary:
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the chemical levels and operating conditions of the powder coat pretreatment system to ensure proper cleaning and coating adhesion. This position also applies decals, labels, and other graphics to finished products according to customer specifications and quality standards.
Essential Functions:
- Monitor and test chemical concentrations, pH levels, conductivity, and temperature in the pretreatment wash system.
- Add chemicals and adjust solution levels as needed to maintain proper operating parameters.
- Record test results and chemical additions on daily logs.
- Inspect pumps, nozzles, filters, and tanks to ensure proper operation.
- Notify maintenance or supervision of equipment malfunctions or chemical issues.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of tanks and related equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, safety, and hazardous material handling procedures.
- Maintain inventory of chemicals and notify supervisor when supplies are low.
- Apply decals, labels, and graphics to painted parts according to work instructions and customer requirements.
- Verify correct placement, alignment, and appearance of decals.
- Inspect decals for bubbles, wrinkles, or defects and correct as needed.
- Clean surfaces prior to decal application to ensure proper adhesion.
- Match decals to work orders and product specifications.
- Light Assembly work
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
