Job Description

Our client is a leading hospitality group bringing together five unique restaurants in Malta, each offering its own distinctive dining experience while sharing a passion for genuine Italian cuisine, exceptional food, and warm hospitality.

Our client is looking for a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join their culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the efficient operation of an assigned kitchen section.
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure all food preparation is completed efficiently and to the required standards.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Work closely with the Sous Chef and other members of the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with food preparation and support other kitchen sections when required.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate any shortages or requirements to senior kitchen staff.
• Ensure all food products are stored, labelled, and handled correctly.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workstation at all times.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
• Support the training and development of junior kitchen team members when required.
• Contribute to maintaining a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen environment.

Requirements

• Must currently reside in Malta.
• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen position.
• Experience within a restaurant, hotel, or high-volume hospitality environment.
• Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Passion for food and a genuine interest in Italian and Mediterranean cuisine will be considered an advantage.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
