BERTA is JLM Group’s restaurant in the heart of Berlin, led by Michelin-starred chef Assaf Granit.

Our cuisine brings together the flavours and energy of Jerusalem with a contemporary approach, built around quality products, bold flavours, generosity and sharing.

The kitchen is lively, demanding and highly operational. We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie who wants to join a passionate brigade and become an important part of our kitchen team.

YOUR ROLE

As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for your section and for maintaining consistent quality throughout preparation and service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the daily mise en place and organisation of your section
• Preparing and cooking dishes according to BERTA recipes and standards
• Ensuring consistency in taste, cooking, seasoning and presentation
• Managing your section independently during service
• Working efficiently during high-volume services
• Coordinating closely with the Sous Chef, Head Chef and the rest of the brigade
• Controlling the quality and freshness of products
• Following correct storage, labelling and rotation procedures
• Monitoring stock levels for your section and communicating requirements
• Minimising waste and using products responsibly
• Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient workstation
• Following all food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures
• Supporting receiving and checking products when required
• Participating in daily preparation and kitchen organisation
• Supporting and guiding junior members of the brigade when necessary
• Contributing to a professional, respectful and team-oriented kitchen environment

Profil recherché

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for someone who:

• Has solid experience as a Chef de Partie or in a comparable kitchen position
• Is confident working independently on a section
• Has strong technical cooking skills
• Has experience with the hot section
• Experience working with a Josper grill is highly preferred
• Understands cooking temperatures, product quality and consistency
• Is organised, clean and disciplined
• Can work quickly and accurately under pressure
• Is reliable and punctual
• Has a strong team mentality
• Is passionate about food and quality ingredients
• Is comfortable working in a busy, high-standard restaurant environment
• Is available immediately

WORK AUTHORISATION & AVAILABILITY

Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Germany and must be legally available to work with BERTA for a minimum period of 6 months.

Unfortunately, we cannot consider student visa holders or candidates whose current work authorisation only allows them to work for a short period of a few months.
