We are looking for a reliable and motivated Chef to join our busy kitchen team. This Chef position is ideal for someone with previous kitchen experience who is looking to develop their skills and progress within a professional kitchen environment. There is excellent scope for career progression, and to grow with the company.

About the Role

As Chef, you will support day-to-day kitchen service, preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard while helping maintain smooth and efficient kitchen operations. You will work closely with the wider brigade in a fast-paced environment focused on quality and consistency. It is a fresh food site with pub classics such as scampi , Burger & fish and chips as well as specials.
With a heavy focus on staff happiness and creating a great environment to work in you will struggle to find a better place to work. As well as free car parking & free meals on duty you can also utilise the onsite Gym and Swimming pool facilities !

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes to specification
• Work across various sections of the kitchen as required
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness at all times
• Support senior chefs during service to ensure smooth delivery
• Follow portion control, stock rotation, and waste management procedures
• Help ensure consistent quality and timely service during busy periods
• Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment

About You

• Previous experience working as a Chef or in a kitchen environment (pub, restaurant, or hotel preferred)
• Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a team environment
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
• Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate desirable but not essential
