Chef de Partie - Pastry @ The Chedi Hotel & Residences Luštica Bay

We are looking for a Chef de Partie - Pastry who is passionate about pastry arts, thrives in a professional kitchen environment, and understands the standards and discipline required in a luxury hospitality setting.

This role is essential in supporting our Pastry Kitchen operations and ensuring that every pastry, dessert, bakery item, and confectionery product reflects the quality and excellence associated with The Chedi brand.

Your role:

As a Chef de Partie - Pastry, you will be responsible for the preparation, production, and presentation of high-quality pastry and bakery products while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and consistency.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, bakery products, and confectionery items in accordance with company standards and recipes
• Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards across all pastry and bakery production
• Support the daily operation of the Pastry Kitchen and contribute to the efficient execution of service requirements
• Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, sanitation, and workplace cleanliness at all times
• Adhere strictly to FSMS, HACCP, and food safety procedures and guidelines
• Assist with mise-en-place preparation and production planning to ensure smooth daily operations
• Monitor the quality, freshness, and proper storage of all ingredients and finished products
• Support the implementation of seasonal menus, promotions, and new pastry concepts under the guidance of the Pastry Chef
• Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools
• Contribute to cost control through responsible handling of products and minimizing waste
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Culinary and Food & Beverage teams
• Support the training, guidance, and development of junior pastry team members when required
• Maintain strict adherence to LQA, Forbes, and company quality standards

Who we're looking for:

• High School Diploma or Culinary School qualification
• Professional certification in Pastry, Bakery, or Culinary Arts is considered an advantage
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in pastry or bakery operations within hotels, resorts, bakeries, or upscale restaurant environments
• Good knowledge of pastry production, baking techniques, and dessert presentation
• Understanding of bread, breakfast pastry, dessert, and confectionery preparation
• Knowledge of chocolate work, ice cream, sorbet, and modern pastry techniques is considered an advantage
• Good understanding of hygiene, food safety, and HACCP standards
• Full professional proficiency in English (additional languages are an advantage)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Positive attitude, passion for culinary excellence, and commitment to continuous learning
• Strong sense of teamwork, responsibility, and integrity
• Previous experience in a luxury hospitality environment will be considered an advantage
• Knowledge of LQA and Forbes standards will be considered an advantage
