The team of the The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna is looking for a Lady or Gentlemen for the position:

Commis de Cuisine / Demi Chef de Partie – Banquet Kitchen

In our Banquet Kitchen, we deliver exceptional culinary experiences across a variety of outlets — from large-scale events and conferences to the exclusive Club Lounge, vibrant Rooftop Barand our Employee Dining Room. As a Commis de Cuisine / Demi Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and consistently high-quality food across all these areas, contributing to memorable guest and employee experiences alike.

You will be responsible for the preparation, presentation, and service of dishes for banquets and multiple service outlets, supporting the kitchen team in maintaining excellence, efficiency, and consistency in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes for banquets, Club Lounge, Rooftop Bar, and Employee Dining Room in accordance with Ritz-Carlton standards
  • Ensure efficient mise en place and organization to support high-volume banquet production and multi-outlet service
  • Work closely with the Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef and team to ensure consistency in taste, presentation and portion control across all outlets
  • Support the execution of events of varying sizes, ensuring timely delivery and smooth coordination
  • Uphold the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
  • Monitor stock levels, minimize waste and assist with ordering and inventory control
  • Train, mentor and support junior kitchen staff as required
  • Maintain a clean, organized and efficient working environment at all times
  • Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure seamless service across all hotel outlets
  • Demonstrate strong awareness of guest preferences, dietary requirements, and allergen management

Your Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel, banquet kitchen, or high-volume catering environment
  • Strong knowledge of international cuisine, large-scale food production, and modern cooking techniques
  • Flexibility to work across different service periods, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering excellence in both guest and employee dining experiences
  • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Culinary degree or relevant professional training preferred
  • Excellent communication skills in German or English and a strong team-oriented mindset

The statutory gross minimum remuneration for this position, based on full-time employment, is € 2.263,00 per month. A higher salary may be offered, depending on your qualifications and experience.
