Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Chef de Partie to join the team on our client site near Cork City Centre. Their focus will be to ensure there are consistently high standards of food delivery and kitchen management across all sections of the business onsite. This is a full-time position and flexibility with hours is required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, food safety, service, and presentation in accordance with HACCP and Health & Safety legislation.
    Assist with menu planning and menu costings to ensure budgeted gross profit margins are achieved while minimising waste.
    Support the ordering of food and supplies in line with company purchasing policies, ensuring approved suppliers are used.
    Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, food safety regulations, and hygiene standards.
    Complete all assigned Food Safety and Quality documentation accurately and consistently.
    Maintain excellent standards of personal and kitchen hygiene at all times.
    Support the management and performance of the kitchen team to deliver high-quality food offerings.
    Assist with checking, probing, and signing for food deliveries, ensuring only quality produce is accepted.
    Ensure food is presented attractively, served at the correct temperature, and recorded appropriately.
    Participate in stock takes and inventory control procedures as required.
    Review kitchen hazards regularly with the Chef Manager/Catering Manager and contribute to a safe working environment.
    Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, customers, colleagues, and management.
    Carry out daily and weekly cleaning duties to the required standard.
    Undertake any other reasonable duties related to food preparation, service, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency.
    Skills & Experience Required

Qualifications

  • Relevant culinary qualification.
    1-2 years' experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
    Experience within industrial or contract catering.
    Knowledge and experience of HACCP procedures and documentation.
    Experience assisting with menu planning and menu development.
    Understanding of food cost control and waste reduction practices.
