RACV Cape Schanck Resort is seeking a passionate and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team on a casual basis.

Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality dining experiences across our food outlets, events and conferencing operations, while enjoying one of Victoria's most spectacular coastal locations.

A day in the life

Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, you'll support the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and help deliver exceptional food and service to our members and guests.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes across a variety of service styles
  • Take ownership of your designated kitchen section during service
  • Complete mise en place and ensure service readiness
  • Support stock control, stock rotation and minimise food wastage
  • Assist with the training and development of apprentices, cooks and junior chefs
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety
  • Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen brigade and Food & Beverage team
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and continuous improvement within the kitchen

About you

You'll be a qualified chef who takes pride in producing quality food and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

You'll bring:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or completed chef apprenticeship
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, hotel, resort or hospitality venue
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
  • A sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and stock control practices
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and deliver consistently high standards
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and team-first approach
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
