The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is searching for its next Chef de Partie!
What are my responsibilities?
As a Chef de Partie, you bring skill, creativity and passion to every dish you prepare. You take pride in delivering high-quality food that delights guests and reflects the hotel’s unique character. With a sharp eye for detail and a hands-on approach, you ensure consistency, flavour and presentation in every plate that leaves your section.
Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section to the highest quality and consistency.
Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation standards as set by the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
Ensure your section is organized, clean and fully stocked before, during and after service.
Maintain correct storage, labelling and rotation of all ingredients to minimize waste and guarantee freshness.
Collaborate closely with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth communication and efficient service flow.
Uphold hygiene, food safety and HACCP standards at all times.
Assist with the creation and testing of new menu items and specials.
Monitor stock levels and inform the manager of any shortages or ordering needs.
Take ownership of equipment and report any maintenance or safety issues immediately.
Contribute to a positive, respectful and learning-focused kitchen culture.
Fulfil other reasonable job duties as instructed by the manager.
What are we looking for?
Have proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a restaurant or hotel.
Strong cooking skills and deep knowledge of your section.
Excellent time management and organisation.
Understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Available to work different shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
Can communicate fluently in English
Eligible to work in the Netherlands

We are excited that the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is currently undergoing a full transformation. A major investment has been made in the hotel which will result in completely renovated guest rooms and public areas, including a brand-new bar, restaurant and rooftop bar & terrace. The hotel will expand from 402 to 500 rooms and an additional conference center will be constructed. The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has a very high focus on sustainability and will aim to become an enhancement to the city of Amsterdam.
