Job Description

SUMMARY
The Chef de Cuisine is a key culinary leader responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences that enhance the lifestyle and hospitality offerings of the Club. This position works closely with Club leadership to create and execute daily food and events in the Club, and ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, consistency, and member satisfaction.
The Chef de Cuisine plays an integral role in creating memorable experiences for members and guests through innovative menu development, thoughtful execution, and a commitment to hospitality excellence. This position is responsible for maintaining a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement while supporting the Club's vision of providing distinctive dining experiences that exceed member expectations.
The ideal candidate possesses a passion for culinary excellence, strong leadership skills, creativity in menu planning, and an understanding of how exceptional cuisine contributes to a premier private club experience. Knowledge of diverse cuisines, wine pairings, seasonal ingredients, and current culinary trends is highly desirable.

ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure all menu offerings reflect the Club's standards for quality, creativity, consistency, and presentation.
• Collaborate with Club leadership to develop seasonal menus, wine dinners, specialty events, member experiences, and holiday celebrations.
• Engage with members and guests when appropriate to gather feedback and build relationships that enhance the overall Club experience.
• Train, coach, and mentor culinary staff while fostering a positive and professional kitchen culture.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, food safety, and operational efficiency throughout all culinary areas.
• Support inventory management, purchasing, cost controls, and labor management while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement through culinary creativity, staff development, and attention to emerging food and beverage trends.
• Ensure dietary accommodations, allergy protocols, and special member requests are executed accurately and with exceptional care.
• Serve as a culinary ambassador for the Club, helping create memorable moments that distinguish the member experience.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years cooking, and 6 months managing a full-service restaurant kitchen is required for this position. Must be familiar with alcoholic beverage control laws.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Requires possession of valid Class C Driver License with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the resort insurance carrier. Must have a valid food handlers’ card.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
