$80k + super + accommodation

Bring your skills to create great meals for a remote community

The skilled Chef or experienced Cook is responsible for the preparation and delivery of high-quality meals to residents, guests and the community, ensuring consistency, reliability, and efficiency. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene, food safety, and compliance with health and safety regulations, under the leadership of the Head Chef and the TDC Village Accommodation Manager. This position is primarily based at the TDC Accommodation Village, with potential opportunities to work in other Food Service areas including Mi Patha Takeaway and Aged Care.

About You

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) with demonstrated experience in bulk cooking.
  • Food Safety Certificate or ability to attain.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP and the ability to maintain relevant documentation.
  • Experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a remote community is highly desirable.

Essential Licences / Clearances

  • National Police check
  • NLC Work / Resident permits
  • Food Handling and Safety Certificate

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
