Relevant directement du directeur technique, vous serez responsable de l’exploitation du département d’éclairage conformément aux paramètres établis, en collaboration avec les équipes de création, de production et les fournisseurs.

Our partner Grupo Vidanta, a leading developer and operator of world-class luxury resorts, properties and tourism infrastructure in Mexico and Latin America is currently offering career opportunities for JOYÀ, the first Cirque du Soleil resident show to include a dining experience as part of the performance.
YOUR MISSION
Reporting directly to the Technical Director, you will be responsible foroperating the Lightingdepartment according to prescribed parameters, working in collaboration with the creative and production teams and suppliers.
MAINRESPONSIBILITIES
General
Manage and supervise all aspects of the technical department under their responsibility and its team;
Operate the equipment and systems under their responsibility during performances and rehearsals;
Manage the use, maintenance and repair of equipment in their department used during performances, rehearsals and training periods;
Always ensure the safety and security of the department's equipment;
Provide advice, recommendations and information on any security issues;
Ensure that their team complies with all Cirque du Soleil health and safety and rescue protocols;
Develop, implement and ensure compliance with a safety inspection program for the systems and equipment under their responsibility;
Inspect and maintain all systems equipment under their responsibility and keep records of inspections and modifications;
Maintain the integrity of the artistic concepts and the quality of the show.
Help the Technical Director in hiring the technical department team under the responsibility of Heads of Departments;
Attend relevant meetings;
Carry out any other tasks requested by the Technical Director.
ProjectManagement
Plan, manage and follow up assigned projects, and ensures that they meet artistic and technical needs, as well as established standards, deadlines and budgets;
Elaborate lists and layout of system equipment under their responsibility;
In collaboration with the Technical Director, keep equipment archives, stock lists, technical documentation and customs documents up to date;
Coordinate the concept and procurement of items under their responsibility;
In collaboration with Technical Director, establish budget estimations, coordinate budget forecasts and manage costs;
Manage the performance of suppliers related to the project;
Research and propose techniques, equipment, materials or new methods that can optimize the results of projects or solve problems;
Collect, draft and distribute final documentation and obtain final approval.
SKILLSANDKNOWLEDGE
Ability to deal with the unexpected tasks and work well under pressure;
Team spirit;
Technical knowledge of the equipment and systems under their responsibility;
Experience in personnel management ;
General knowledge of the mechanic and electronic systems of a show;
Good communication skills;
Great foresight and ability to resolve unexpected situations;
Willingness to learn how to use new tools.
REQUIREMENTS
Professional or technical training in the arts and entertainment field or any relevant experience;
At least 6 years of experience in technical operation of shows;
Ability to work at height (climbing skills essential);
Ability to work with ETC APEX, Eos Ti consoles;
Ability to work with Microsoft Office suite;
Fluent in Spanish and English (writing and speaking);
Available to work variable hours at predefined times;
Available to travel abroad (if applicable).
