About the role

The Chef, Callebaut Global Innovation Center leads chef services across Indonesia, delivering exceptional customer experiences through technical support, innovation, education, and community engagement. As the culinary ambassador of Barry Callebaut, the role drives next‑generation chocolate concepts, supports digital content creation, pioneers applications across bakery and confectionery, and influences both internal teams and the wider industry. The Chef also contributes to developing talent and enhancing sales capabilities as the company evolves from an ingredients supplier to a solutions provider.

Key responsibilities include

  • Collaborate with the Barry Callebaut team to support innovation launches, marketing campaigns, and ensure a best‑in‑class customer journey.
  • Drive the customer journey through solution selling and promotion of the winning portfolio.
  • Support the digital transformation of chef services and service offerings.
  • Partner with the events team to bring the CGIC experience to life, both digitally and at fairs/events.
  • Act as an influential figure in the chef community to attract experts, new hires, influencers, and guest chefs for dedicated projects.
  • Serve as an internal ambassador to champion passion for food across the organization.
  • Contribute significantly to regional Chef Services to support sustainability goals.
  • Manage responsibilities with a geographic focus of Indonesia (60%) and ASEAN (40%).

Operational & Training Responsibilities

  • Conduct distributor training and distributor chef training.
  • Deliver internal sales team training.
  • Lead inspiration and co‑creation sessions with customers.
  • Develop recipes aligned with trends, innovation, and customer needs.
  • Facilitate both physical and digital classes.
  • Perform product demonstrations for various audiences.

About you

  • 10+ years of experience with advanced training in confectionery, bakery, ice cream, or pastry.
  • Diploma or formal certification in confectionery and pastry.
  • Strong understanding of the ISB, QSR, and key accounts market.
  • Knowledge of the chocolate and cocoa food manufacturing industry and the B2B food sector is preferred.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proactive, independent, and able to take initiative.
  • Strong digital presence and familiarity with major social media platforms (IG, FB, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Experience using Salesforce.
  • Able to perform well in a high‑expectation environment.
  • Capable of working effectively across multiple departments and maintaining a professional, positive image.
