Are you an experienced Chef who takes pride in quality food, thoughtful presentation and creating meaningful dining experiences? We are seeking Expressions of Interest from skilled and passionate Chefs to join our Seniors Living communities across Sydney.

Your opportunity

Monday - Friday Opportunity - Paddington

  • Consistent hours – many Monday to Friday

  • No late-night service (site dependent)

As a Chef in our retirement villages, you’ll play an integral role in creating nutritious, high-quality meals and memorable dining experiences for residents, guests and the wider community. More than just cooking, you’ll be helping create moments of connection, comfort and enjoyment every day.

With professionalism and care, you will:

  • Prepare and deliver high-quality meals in line with menu requirements and resident needs

  • Plan menus and coordinate daily kitchen operations

  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, WHS and food safety regulations

  • Manage stock, ordering and minimise waste

  • Support, guide and work collaboratively with kitchen and café teams

  • Contribute ideas to improve processes, menus and customer experience

What you’ll bring

You’re a qualified and experienced Chef who thrives in a structured hospitality environment and enjoys working with purpose.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Commercial Cookery Certificate or equivalent

  • Previous experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen environment

  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A team-focused, positive attitude with a willingness to support and mentor others

  • A genuine interest in working with and supporting older people

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.

In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
