Job Description

Starting Wage $20.75

2nd Shift 2:30pm-11pm

5 Days per week

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Load product into brine cages in a timely and orderly fashion maximizing use of cage space and no damage to product
  • Inspect cheese for non-conforming product, remove such product, return to rework in a timely manner
  • Keep correct count of cheese on each layer of the cage
  • Perform housekeeping duties as required
  • Assist with form changes and table operations
  • Assist with rework as needed
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as required to maintain plant equipment.
  • Check and remove any leftover product in cage shelves before loading.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as required to maintain plant equipment.
  • Disassemble equipment for CIP and reassemble when finished.
  • Change and clean brine filters as needed.
  • Assist in training of new personnel.
  • Assist in other production areas as required.
  • Minimize water usage and eliminate the generation of wastewater within the scope of position.
  • Follow all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
  • Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to use commercial English, grammar, and arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, including decimals and fractions.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
