The Opportunity:

At Rosauers Supermarkets, we believe that every transaction is an opportunity to brighten someone's day. As a Checker, you'll be the smiling face that makes every customer feel welcome and valued. As a Checker, you'll be the final touchpoint in our customers' shopping journey, ensuring a seamless and friendly checkout experience. Your excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail will play a vital role in leaving customers with a lasting positive impression.

What You'll Do:

• Welcome and greet customers when entering or leaving the store
• Answer customer questions, help them locate items, and provide recommendations
• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
• Collect payments whether in cash or credit
• Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
• Redeem stamps and coupons
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
• Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
• Bag or wrap purchases to ensure safe transport
• Handle merchandise returns and exchanges
• Perform other duties as assigned
