We are looking to hire an ISO Chassis Mechanic to maintain trailer chassis by installing and repairing brakes, suspension parts, pneumatic and hydraulic system parts. This colleague must be a certified welder

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

This position is for our Chalmette, LA branch at 100 Intermodal Dr, Chalmette, LA 70043.

Pay Range: $15.00 to $35.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair frames and metal truck trailers
• Modify and reconstruct chassis
• Installing electric wiring for dome lights and tailgates
• Fitting and assembling components
• Use hand tools and portable power tools
• Weld (Certification required) as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must be a Certified Welder (Certification must be shown upon time welding test is given)
• Must have at least 3 years’ experience as a Chassis/Trailer Mechanic
• Possess strong communication skills
• Detailed oriented
• Ability to effectively prioritize work
• Ability to thrive in a team environment
• High school diploma or GED
