Occasional domestic and/or international travel to meet clients and attend shippingconferencesisrequired(approximatelyoneto four times per year).
Negotiate spot charters; market time charter fleet, under guidance, focusing on achieving competitive pricing and favorable terms.
Track and report on market trends, supply chain issues, and geopolitical factors that mayimpactproduct availability and pricing.
Managevoyage execution and ensure safe and efficient delivery. Support relationship management bymaintainingregular communication with owners, charterers,andbrokers
Follow established trading strategies and provide input to helpoptimizeprofitability.
Coordinate and execute internal waterborne cargo requirements, confirm dates and logistic requirements, and compliance with industry and voyage related regulations.
Perform tasks related to asset management, such as handling documentation, compliance, demurrage, and vessel vetting. Handle routine tasks related to physical asset management, including basic cashtracking;development of low to medium complex freight estimates to internal trading teams.
Compile andsubmitreports on trading activities, performance metrics, and market updates for review by internal stakeholders.
Work with regional teams toassistin implementing supply and sourcing plans
Chartering Specialist
