Job Description

• Location: Town
• 6 months contract (Possibility for conversion)
• 5 days work week

Responsibilities:

• Oversee commercial operations and post fixtures of the chartered out/in vessels to ensure Charter Parties are implemented smoothly and disputes are handled professionally
• Participate in the review and negotiate with charterers/owners of the charter in/out vessels on the charter terms and contracts
• Drafting and checking of the Charter Parties & Addenda to ensure the charter party terms are in order
• Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers and brokers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Coordinate with Finance team to ensure hire is promptly arranged and to ensure expenses are recovered on a monthly basis
• Participate in ad-hoc project and chartering duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Maritime Studies/ Business Administration/ Commerce or equivalent
• 1 3 years of chartering experience
• Able to start work within short notice
• Can work independently
• Fast learner, analytical, self-motivated with good initiative
• Excellent command of English, spoken and written
