About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Charter Specialist plays a key role in supporting daily transit operations.

The Charter Specialist must have a strong understanding of administrative processes and demonstrate the ability to work across multiple computer platforms, including internal reporting tools, and scheduling software.

This position is well-suited for a highly organized, adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced operational setting and enjoys balancing customer service with operational problem-solving.

Shift Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday - 8am-5pm

Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $21.00

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing customer service and operational support to drivers, acting as a central point of communication to resolve service-related issues efficiently
  • Coordinate charter bookings and respond to customer inquiries by preparing accurate quotes, scheduling vehicles and drivers, confirming service details and invoicing
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager to support the smooth operation of daily transportation services

Requirements

The ideal candidate will posses the following qualifications that include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent — post-secondary education is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and other standard software tools used for reporting, scheduling, and communication
  • Clear and current criminal record check
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service, with the ability to remain calm, courteous, and solution-focused in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations
  • Professional and courteous telephone manner, with strong verbal communication skills and the ability to relay information clearly and accurately
  • Well-developed organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, ability to work on your own, manage time effectively, and handle multiple responsibilities with attention to detail
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and interact professionally with clients, staff, and external partners
