Charter School Program Specialist

FT / PT Status – Full-Time

Salary – $44.57 - $48.57 Hourly Wage

Key Responsibilities

This role reports to the Executive Director of the State Charter School Board (SCSB) and supports the development and improvement of educational programs in elementary and secondary charter schools. Responsibilities include assisting with planning, promoting, and evaluating programs, providing training for current and aspiring charter school personnel, and coordinating with educational institutions to enhance charter school education.This role also involves supporting agency initiatives by providing research and data analysis specific to charter schools. The employee will assist with designing and conducting research projects, making recommendations, and using research data to improve charter schools. They work under supervision and must have a basic understanding of the subject matter.Principal DutiesAssist in providing supportive oversight to the SCSB's portfolio of charter schools aligned with current goals and objectives.Interpret and apply policies, procedures, and laws relevant to charter schools.Provide technical assistance related to compliance with federal and state laws and regulations specific to charter schools.Organize meetings, conferences, and workshops for charter school stakeholders.Coordinate with other agencies and organizations to support charter schools.Assist in designing and conducting research projects focused on charter schools.Serve on committees and workgroups related to charter schools.Provide consultations and recommendations to charter school stakeholders.Support research and data teams working on charter school projects.Present recommendations as assigned regarding charter schools.Evaluate research projects and data specific to charter schools.Analyze and summarize data related to charter schools.Facilitate the use of research data to improve charter schools.

Qualifications

Typical QualificationsBasic knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and their applications.Proficiency in English language and grammar.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and listening skills.Ability to manage time and resources effectively.Supplemental InformationRisks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
