ReportstoSenior Operations Manager
The role of a CharterCoordinatorinvolves overseeing thelogisticsand operations of charters, events, and activities for transportation services. Their primary responsibilities revolve around coordinating the movement of passengers for various purposes, such as events, tours, corporate travel, or specialized transportation needs.
Manage all charter reservations from start to finish
Respond to calls and emails from potential clients requesting information within 24 hours
Quote prices on charter services using established formula
“Book” all services and assigning the trip to a driver, confirming vehicle availability
Confirm all trips and details of request with client to ensure total satisfaction with service
Ensure all drivers are prepared for each trip, have the proper instruction, paperwork, itineraries, and directions necessary for the given assignment
Confirm the equipment assigned to the driver is prepared for the assignment
Apply all discounts to reservations as appropriate
Track all employee tips for trips booked
Obtain billing information and prepare invoice or bill credit card
Maintain positive customer relations and respond to any customer issues with courtesy and a solution-oriented attitude
Resolve all customer complaints related to charters
Coordinate large charter moves
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Demonstratedproficiencywith Microsoft Office Applications: (Excel, Word, PPT…)
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
Proficiencyinlogisticsand coordination.
Problem-solving and adaptability in dynamic environments.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Embrace conflict and be comfortable with having difficult conversations.
Attention to detail and ability tomaintainrecords accurately.
Proficiencyin relevant software and tools for scheduling and documentation.
Must be able toworka flexible schedule including Monday – Friday and weekend days as needed.
Previouscustomer service experience preferred.
This role requires someone who is adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously, communicating effectively with various stakeholders, and ensuringa seamlesstransportation experience for clients.
Work Environment
This job operatesthe majority ofthe time in an office setting. This job will require travel around the area of responsibility and meeting with the wider support team. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands/Expected Hours of Work
TheCharter Coordinatorposition is alargely stationaryrole; however, some lifting,standingand bending will berequired This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday.
Salary: $30/hour
This is an on-site,full timeposition at our Bridgeport,CT,office.
