Responsibilities:
- Ensure appropriate daily staffing in accordance with CDHS-mandated staff-to-client ratios by scheduling, adjusting coverage, and providing on-the-floor support as needed.
- Maintain a safe, trauma-informed environment by consistently monitoring program areas, addressing behavioral or safety concerns, and prioritizing the physical and emotional well-being of youth and staff.
- Lead crisis response efforts, including de-escalation, lockdown procedures, fire and safety drills, and immediate coordination with on-call supervisors, law enforcement, or emergency medical services when necessary.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training to Mental Health Technicians and other staff; ensures adherence to policy, encourages professional development, and promotes consistent quality of care.
- Uphold all CDHS Volume 7 standards related to incident reporting, client supervision, physical intervention, and documentation timelines; ensures reports are accurate, reviewed, and submitted on time.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the charge log, including incident reports, staffing updates, safety concerns, and any changes in client status.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday 7am-3:30pm

Qualifications:
- A 4-year college degree and at least one (1) year of relevant experience is preferred; however, the following substitutions will be considered:
-  A high school diploma or equivalent plus at least two (2) years of experience in the human services field.
- A high school diploma or equivalent plus 30 semester hours of college credit and at least one (1) year of relevant experience.
- Qualified Medication Administration Personnel Certification (QMAP), or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- CPR/First Aid Certifications, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Demonstrated skill and experience in crisis intervention.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with expected Mental Health Technician duties.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to work with sensitivity to the cultural and/or socioeconomic diversity of the agency’s clients and staff.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and trust.
- Must pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
