Responsible for posting charges for equipment and supplies used in perioperative and procedural areas across the system, including but not limited to OR, Anesthesia, PACU, SACU, Endoscopy, and other designated locations. Keep: Provides back-up support to member hospital perioperative and procedural areas.

I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Verifies and reviews charges for procedures in the OR, Anesthesia, PACU, SACU Endoscopy and other designated locations to ensure patients are charged correctly for all equipment and supplies used.
2. Reviews each case to identify supplies used for accuracy and time used for billing. Notify charge nurse and/or service line manager to correct charges in Epic if necessary.
3. Research new or substitute products and secures pricing information. Verify and confirm pricing is on contract with representatives.
4. Computes mark-up price for specialty items.
5. Verifies bill-only purchase orders on consignment items and one-time items delivered by sales representatives. Work discrepancies through representatives, vendors, and Purchasing.
6. Reviews construct cases in database and adds designated information for each of their cases.
7. Responsible for maintenance of the automated ordering system and database logs for the department. Provides updates to Purchasing and to the Revenue Integrity department.
8. Updates and maintains data within the bone, tissue and implant logs.
9. Performs duties of Coord, Periop Equipment & Supply when needed.

II. Position Qualifications:
License/Certification/Education:
Required:

1. Equivalent to high school diploma.
Preferred:
1. Associates degree.

Experience/Skills:
Required:

1. Three years of related experience.
2. Knowledge and ability to use spreadsheet and database management programs and maintain electronic data files.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
1. Knowledge/experience in OR equipment, purchasing, charge posting, or materials management.
