Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting. The charge nurse is responsible for the quality of care during the shift. A charge nurse helps to facilitate multi-disciplinary communication including social services, physicians, and other departments to optimize patient outcomes. Provides patient care when census dictates it. Makes Assignments and assigns admissions

North Texas Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Gainesville, Texas.
The 120,720-square-foot medical center houses 42 medical/surgical beds, a 6-bed intensive care unit, and a 12-bed women’s center with a dedicated C-Section operating suite. The hospital features an 11-bed Emergency Room with 3 trauma rooms, 4 operating rooms, 2 procedure rooms, 2 inpatient sleep study rooms and 3 wound care treatment areas.
