Denver Sexual Health Clinic (DSHC) is a fast-paced clinic, strives to provide trauma-informed and affirming comprehensive sexual health services to underserved and marginalized communities. We are looking for an experienced registered nurse (RN) for a full-time charge nurse position. Work hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. This position leads and supervises the day-to-day operations of a clinic, ensuring high-quality and patient-centered care while coordinating staff and resources, acting as the link between medical assistant (MA) and nursing staff and nurse manager. Charge nurse is the first point of contact for clinical questions or operational issues. In addition to performing the essential RN clinical duties (inbasket results and patient message management, treatment visit, family planning visit, HIV prevention medication visit, routine testing visit, provider support), this position is also responsible for clinical oversight and leadership roles at the clinic. These key responsibilities include: 1) orienting, mentoring, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance to MA and nursing team, 2) ensuring MA/nursing team workloads are balanced and meeting quality and productivity expectations, 3) assigning and adjusting staff duties to match patient needs and MA/nursing team availability, 4) leading during urgent situations such as vasovagal episodes and medical emergency responses, 5) handling vaccine storage and excursion responses, 6) monitoring adequate and accurate medication and clinical supply inventory, 6) performing administrative duties include reviewing documentation, ensuring compliance with protocols, and managing incident reports. Qualities and skills for successful candidate may include communication, team management, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and adaptability.
