Priory Hospital Ayr Clinicis looking to recruit a Charge Nurse to join the team.This is a full time 37.5 hours role, this would be a day shift night rotational shift pattern.
Based in Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland, Priory Hospital Ayr Clinic is a low secure service for males and females with a mental health diagnosis and/or a personality disorder. We can support people from all over the UK. Lochlea House and Gatehouse are two stepdown services located in Ayrshire which are part of Ayr Clinic also.
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients
The role of the Charge Nurse is to provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager. They will have clinical experience and leadership that provides expertise and confidence to the nursing team and ward overall. They will have defined delegated responsibilities from the Ward Manager; having protected time for their management duties and have supervisory responsibilities for an agreed group of staff.

The ideal candidate will be a trained assessor/supervisor with essential experience in clinical supervision (training desirable). You will demonstrate a strong commitment to continued professional development, with evidence of maintaining and further developing both your clinical expertise and leadership skills. Good computer skills are also required to support the role effectively.
