Littelfuse is looking for a Characterization Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Lipa, Philippines. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a newly established semiconductor characterization and verification laboratory, helping shape its capabilities from the ground up while supporting the development of innovative power semiconductor technologies.
This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth, collaboration with global engineering teams, and exposure to cutting-edge semiconductor products and test methodologies.
Perform characterization and verification activities on power semiconductor devices, including SiC Diodes, SiC MOSFETs, Schottky Diodes, IGBTs, and related technologies.
Study and understand device specifications and technical requirements.
Define characterization and verification plans to achieve complete functional coverage.
Develop test specifications in close collaboration with design engineers and product definition teams.
Execute electrical measurements, data collection, and analysis.
Report failures, propose corrective actions, and support issue resolution.
Develop and/or operate characterization and verification setups and automated test environments.
Prepare and lead design verification reviews.
Generate technical reports, data sheets, and design documentation.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of laboratory capabilities, methodologies, and best practices.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
2 to 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
Experience creating verification plans, test benches, and automated parameter testing solutions.
Experience preparing and presenting characterization and verification reviews.
Hands-on experience with electrical measurement equipment such as:
Oscilloscopes
Parameter Analyzers
PXI Systems
Similar laboratory instrumentation
Knowledge of electrical measurement circuit and test setup design.
Knowledge of PCB design principles.
Understanding of fast di/dt and dV/dt switching events and their impact on measurements and characterization.
Understanding of power electronic circuit design and test circuitry development.
Experience with thermal measurements and JEDEC standards for thermal characterization (Rth/Zth).
Programming and scripting skills in one or more of the following:
Python
MATLAB
LabVIEW
C/C++
C#
MS Office tools
Strong English communication skills are required, both written and verbal, as the role involves collaboration with global engineering teams.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
Willingness to work in a highly collaborative international environment.
