We are a critically acclaimed Swedish video game studio with about 200 experienced and skilled developers. We are most well-known for the Warhammer: Vermintide franchise, but have also helped develop a number of AAA titles and we launched the highly anticipated game Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
We have grown quite a bit over the last few years, but we still embrace the same values that we started with. We want to build the best first person co-op games together, in an approachable, fun and passion-driven way.
As a Character Artist at Fatshark, you will be at the center of bringing great experiences for Darktide players by creating anything from holy Inquisition characters to blasphemous Chaos creatures from the Warhammer 40K universe. The Emperor calls!
You will interact closely with Technical Art and Animation teams to create stunning art, props and other character-related assets, and integrate content into the engine.
The role requires you to have a great eye for visual weight, anatomy and material knowledge, as well as being efficient with creating assets that are optimized for games. You will need to be an excellent artist and ideally, a problem-solver who enjoys exploring artistic capabilities and new technical avenues.
At Fatshark, all members of the team are involved in decision-making. We are a small enough team to be agile, but big enough to realize great ideas together. In this highly creative environment, collaboration is key. It is crucial that independence and ability to manage one's own time effectively is paired with strong communication and teamwork skills.
