Job Description

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, full-time. Day shift. You will work at the UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital.


Additional components of compensation may include:

Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Religious Studies, Pastoral Counseling, or a related field of ministry from a school accredited by a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Required
  • Must have completed at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education. Required
  • Completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education in a hospital setting. Preferred

Work Experience

  • No minimum experience required. Required
  • 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, and Women’s Services. Preferred
  • Endorsement or appropriate recognition of ministry by the governing body of the Chaplain’s denomination/faith group Preferred
  • 3 years of successful post graduate pastoral care, preferably as a chaplain in a healthcare setting Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Licensed or ordained chaplain, and in good standing with their faith tradition. Required
  • Membership (or eligibility for membership in) the Association of Professional Chaplains or the National Association of Catholic Chaplains. Preferred
  • APC Board Certification. Preferred
