Compensation: $24.00 - $28.50 / hour

Schedule: Part time | 20 hours/week | Varies but must be available to work evenings and weekends based on event schedules

What You'll Do:
As the Chapel & Performing Arts Center Coordinator, you’ll help bring meaningful events and programs to life for residents, guests, performers, and community partners. You’ll support the coordination of chapel and auditorium events, assist with day-of logistics, and help create a welcoming, organized experience from start to finish.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys live events, is comfortable with basic audio/visual support, and thrives in a role that combines organization, people skills, and behind-the-scenes coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Events – Assist with planning and coordinating chapel and auditorium events, including performances, lectures, screenings, and community programs.
  • Support Front-of-House Operations – Help manage audience seating, event flow, and resident/guest support during programs.
  • Assist Performers & Speakers – Serve as a point of contact for performers, speakers, and event partners before and during events.
  • Manage Event Setup & Breakdown – Support room setup, basic staging needs, and post-event cleanup or reset.
  • Provide Basic Audio/Visual Support – Assist with microphones, projectors, lighting basics, and other event-related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot During Events – Provide calm, on-site support when issues arise to help events run smoothly.
  • Maintain a Welcoming Environment – Ensure residents, guests, performers, and team members experience a safe, professional, and organized event space.
  • Support Event Promotion – Work with marketing team members to help promote upcoming events and publish programming schedules.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Experience in event coordination, performing arts venues, hospitality, or a similar setting preferred
  • Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment, with a willingness to learn additional technical systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and stay calm during live event situations
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends based on event schedules
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with light lifting, event setup, and equipment support
