Position: Channel Strategy Manager (12 Month Contract)

What to Expect:
Acts as primary business partner with brand marketing and sales teams, influencing and shaping segment and brand strategy by channel for the Nestle Purina PetCare portfolio for which you are responsible. You will play a crucial role in the commercialization of generating demand initiatives as well as the development of sound 4P channel strategies aligned to shopper drivers with focus on pricing, promotion, and product portfolio optimization. This position is an existing vacancy.
A day in the life:
• Analyze market trends and translates findings into actionable insights to inform key strategies across the different channels
• Proactively identifies and assesses category, portfolio, and customer or channel opportunities and develops a recommended plan of action, with a focus on product assortment, distribution, and promotional opportunities
• Responsible for monitoring portfolio in-market performance and target delivery, identifying gaps and working cross-functionally to recommend solutions.
• Provides recommendations on optimal launch plans by channel built around shopper drivers. Assesses innovation performance through post evaluations, working cross-functionally to address gaps.
• Responsible for the commercialization of annual brand plans by channel, defining product assortment and promotional strategies by segment and channel, grounded in shopper insights, with ongoing assessment and strategy adjustment as needed.
• Develops the external customer Nestle Purina PetCare innovation presentation for assigned portfolio and presents to customer.
• Responsible for development and execution of key planning communications, such as new item sales materials, Playbook, channel strategies, and SKU prioritization.
Role Requirements
• 4+ years of proven relevant experience in Marketing, Trade Marketing, Sales, Category Management, leading the development, execution, and assessment of customer or brand business plans and strategies within the CPG industry
• Proficiency in NielsenIQ: 2+ years using the NielsenIQ cloud-based database to create and extract customized data pulls and interpret findings.
• Strong analytical skills with proven ability to synthesize data, derive relevant insights, craft compelling stories, and develop strategies.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage the needs of various stakeholder groups
• Effective oral and written communication skills are required to express analytics and deliver presentations to various levels within the organization and externally to customers
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Bachelor’s degree education in Business Administration, with a focus on Sales, Marketing, or related field is an asset
