Reporting into theDirector of Sales ,theChannel Sales Manageris responsible for driving revenue through Sea-Bird’s strategic distributor partners across Europe, the Middle East and Canada. This role is about building true growth partnerships with channel partners by aligning strategy, enablingexecutionand influencing outcomes without direct authorityThis is a hands-on, externally facing role that requires strong commercial judgment and professional selling instincts, ability toleveragetechnical product knowledge around oceanographic applications and the ability to partner credibly with distributor leadership while navigating internal teams to deliver results.
This position is part of the Salesdepartment, and will beremote, with up to 50% travel required We're ideally looking for someone based in Europe.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Own and manage a defined portfolio of strategicSea-Bird channelpartners across EMEA and Canada
Influencethe behavior ofthese keychannel partners toachieverevenue growthtargets
Proactivelyidentifynew growth opportunities within the assigned geography
Actively managechannelopportunity funnelsandprovide support in closingstrategicopportunities
Provideproduct and applications training and support to channel partners and customers
Act as the voice of the distributorwith Sea-Bird and work cross-functionally to resolve issuesand improve the customer andchannel partnerexperience
Maintain clear,proactiveand professional communication withchannelsand internal stakeholders
The essential requirements of the job include
Bachelor’sin scienceand/or engineering preferred
5-10 years ofexperience in a technical B2B sales environment with meaningful exposure to channel or distributor-led models
Experience managing complex relationships across geographies and cultures
Proventrack recordof professional selling and opportunity development skills
Productand applications acumenwith oceanographic background preferred
Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.
