  • Identify and engage with key channel partners capable and willing to drive business growth for the company.  While the VP of North American sales is responsible for the overall sales strategy, the Director of Channel Sales will work closely with them on defining that strategy for the channel. 
  • Strategic oversight of the North America channel program including all aspects of the partner ecosystem, adjusting, and modifying as necessary to meet changing market demands to ensure it is economically sound and motivating the expected outcomes. 
  • Optimize the channel program by rationalizing and pruning the ecosystem of channel partners, managing the tiered partner levels, and driving the right mix of evangelizing and pipeline generation with key business partners. 
  • Make a significant impact on the Company’s overall revenue through trained, enabled and commercially motivated channel partners.  
  • Coach the channel sales team to develop and qualify net new sales through partners and foster sales self-sufficiency within the team and the partner community. 
  • Manage through metrics, KPIs and analytics to ensure overall channel goals are met including time to revenue with new partners, pipeline growth, quality of pipeline, closed revenue, and promotion of Company solutions.  
  • Collaborate with Spectralink’s vertically focused sales team and partners with the marketing team on key messaging into the channel. 

Skills and Experience we’d like you to have: 

 
  • 10+ years of experience as a sales leader working within complex, solution-oriented hardware and software environments sold through channel partners to enterprise customers. 
  • Significant experience selling solutions into the healthcare vertical and the partner community that serves this vertical.
  • Ability to develop a strategic plan to achieve channel goals, along with a clear execution plan, and have the ability to communicate those clearly to the leadership team.
  • In-depth expertise with distributor and channel partner eco-systems 
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully leading channel sales teams in a modern channel partner structure with significant growth expectations.
  • Strong knowledge of wireless voice communications and experience working with channel partners in the Healthcare and Retail industries (nice to have) 
  • Strong understanding and reliance on data analytics and metrics to shape strategies and optimize performance. 
  • Very advanced ability to report on channel impact using Excel and presenting those analytics to the executive team
