Job Description

About Ring

It started with a simple question: What if you could answer your front door from anywhere in the world?

In 2013, Ring was founded on that idea — and it changed home security forever. From our first Video Doorbell to a full ecosystem of smart home security products, Ring has spent over a decade bridging the distance between people and what they care about most. Today, Ring is part of Amazon Devices, and together we're making safety smarter, more accessible, and more connected for communities around the world.

In Japan, we're just getting started — and the opportunity ahead is enormous.

The Opportunity

As the Channel Sales Development Manager for Ring Japan, you will be the architect of how Ring shows up for Japanese customers — in relation to offline retailers – in stores, and EC stores by expanding partnership. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role. You'll work at the intersection of strategy and execution: building long-term retailer partnerships while rolling up your sleeves to drive results on the ground.

You'll report directly to the Head of Echo, Ring, Smart Home & Accessories at Amazon Devices Japan, and collaborate with teams across Ring and Amazon globally.

Who You Are

You're a motivated self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. You have a strong sense of ownership and are equally comfortable thinking strategically and executing tactically. You know the Japanese retail landscape — especially consumer electronics — and you know how to get things done within it.

You bring:
- A track record of building and scaling channel sales in Japan's top electronics retailers

- The ability to influence at all levels — from store associates to C-suite buyers

- A bias for action and a hunger to build something meaningful

- Comfort working across cultures and time zones within a global organization

Key job responsibilities

- Serve as the owner of off-Amazon channel sales strategy for Ring in Japan - Working closely with Account Managers who deals day-to-day management for accounts, the role is expected to design and drive and continuously evolve to increase our sales in off-amazon channels including offline retailers

- Build and scale key programs — channel sales programs, in-store merchandising, and field sales activations that bring Ring products to life at retail

- Develop deep retailer relationships — from store-floor teams to central corporate management, you'll operate top-down and bottom-up to unlock growth

- Identify and pursue new opportunities — spot untapped spaces for Japanese consumer and work with leadership to move fast on them

- Drive visibility and discovery — find creative ways to help Japanese consumers discover and choose Ring products in the channel

- Manage vendors and fixtures — oversee fixture design, production, and all related vendor relationships to ensure a premium in-store presence

Basic Qualifications

- 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
