Job Description

PURPOSE
The Channel Operations Coordinator will serve as a vital part of the organization in supporting our direct and indirect channels of business. As the primary corporate contact for direct and indirect business, the channel coordinator will liaise between the various departments within SMC to bring about resolution to customer concerns while working on strategic initiatives and ad-hoc projects. This position will assist with research and analysis of data related to various areas of the business, with the focus of aligning business strategy and optimizing business process between SMC and its channel partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Responsible for operational analysis, validation, cleansing, collection, and reporting
• Retrieve and analyze information / data, including manual files, external websites, and statistical metrics from various sources that support senior management decisions
• Respond to informational / data inquiries from various groups within the organization
• Create and publish regularly scheduled and/or ad hoc reports as needed
• Must be able to collect and track key program statistics and metrics, and monitor/measure program performance such as the Quarterly Business Reviews, and Annual Business Plans
• Centralization of Target account program documentation and evaluation
• Evaluate Distributor Effective sales power to ensure it is in line with SMC corporate strategy
• Recommend financial and non-financial strategic alternatives and develop and maintain operational plans
• Liaise between both indirect and direct channel partners and all levels of SMC’s organization
• Coordinate with appropriate resources to troubleshoot, resolve and improve operational issues, efficiencies, and strength in market
• Communicate with channel partners on policy, product changes, and other formal business matters
• Support the Contract Administrative Group and Management in defining, evaluating, managing, and ensuring compliance with policies and terms of contractual agreements (including Distributor Operations, Sales Policy, Rebate Agreements, Strategic Sales Programs etc.)
• Lead/collaborate on cross departmental initiatives for direct and indirect channels
• Drive execution of operational and strategic internal and external audits
• Facilitate on-boarding of new customers and distributors
Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Position requires extensive work using a computer
• Maintain seated posture for 8 hours or more per day based on support needs
• May require evening and weekend work in response to the needs of the systems being supported
• Lift up to 20 pounds
Some travel may be required (30% or less)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, or related field
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience with business systems, analytics, operations, or related fieldwork
• Demonstrated experience in working with customers, identifying/understanding their needs, and formally documenting business requirements
• Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with process improvement, project management, and technical knowledge
Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Excel mastery
