Job Description

Wyze is looking for a Channel Development Manager, Emerging Accounts to build the next wave of growth across our retail and non-retail channels. This is a highly entrepreneurial role for someone who can open doors, develop new partnerships, and take full ownership of the accounts won. You will have meaningful autonomy, a broad opportunity set, and the chance to shape how Wyze builds and scales emerging channels.

You will manage and grow a portfolio of emerging retail accounts while building a pipeline of new opportunities across specialty retail, B2B distribution, builder partnerships, and other channels relevant to Wyze’s products. This is not a pure hunting role: you will own the business from first outreach through launch, account planning, day-to-day relationship management, and continued growth.

What you’ll do

  • Own the business results for a portfolio of emerging accounts
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with retail buyers and partner teams.
  • Create account plans with clear targets, priorities, and growth levers across assortment, pricing, promotions, online presence, and in-store presence.
  • Lead promotional and campaign planning across the portfolio, including seasonal and tentpole moments.
  • Identify, prioritize, and pursue new retailer opportunities
  • Build new non-retail opportunities from the ground up, including builder and developer partnerships and B2B distribution models.
  • Prospect actively through industry research, contact development, cold outreach, introductions, meetings, pitches, negotiations, and close.
  • Develop commercially sound proposals and partnership structures that support sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Understand the account-level economics behind decisions, including margin, terms, promotional funding, logistics costs, and their impact on profitability.
  • Forecast demand, track performance against targets, identify gaps, and drive action to close them.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Business Intelligence, Marketing, Finance, Product, and other teams to turn plans into execution.
  • Bring structure to an evolving portfolio and continuously refine the target list, pipeline, and channel strategy.

What you’ll bring

  • A track record of business development or partner outreach, including personally opening doors, creating relationships, and converting opportunities into business.
  • Experience managing retail accounts from the brand or retailer side, with ownership beyond a single executional workstream.
  • Evidence of carrying a business target or number and delivering against it.
  • The ability to balance hunting for new business with the discipline required to manage accounts day to day.
  • Strong commercial judgment and working knowledge of account-level P&L concepts, including margin, terms, promotional funding, and logistics costs.
  • A self-directed, results-oriented approach: you set a target, build a plan, move with urgency, and close the gap when performance is off track.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to earn trust with external partners and align internal stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in a lean, high-autonomy environment where you will need to find problems, create structure, and solve issues without waiting for a fully defined playbook.
  • Approximately 2–5 years of relevant retail, channel, sales, or business development experience. Candidates with slightly less experience may be considered if they demonstrate exceptional outreach drive, ownership, and coachability.

Preferred experience

  • Experience in smart home, consumer electronics, security, or a related category
  • Experience launching a new channel, partnership, or business model from 0→1
  • Existing relationships with specialty retailers, builders, developers, distributors, or other relevant partners
  • Experience with non-retail, B2B, builder, or developer channels
  • Advanced financial modeling experience

About Wyze

The founding members of Wyze met when they were working at Amazon and they brought the core Amazon principles to us - it’s our goal to become the most customer-centric technology company. We’re passionate about providing customers high-quality products at great prices.

Our first product, Wyze Cam, is the solution to a problem that one of our co-founders faced. He had been looking for a smart home camera to stay connected and protect his family with while on the road. He found that better-recognized brands were overpriced for their quality and cheaper ones were unreliable. We believe consumers deserve better than that and this led to the birth of Wyze Cam.

But this is just the beginning. As we grow, we will continue to launch high quality, affordable tech products that enrich people’s lives and make great technology accessible to everyone.

Our cameras, smart devices, and Wyze app are meticulously designed with multiple layers of security to help give you peace of mind. Your safety is our priority. For more information, visit www.wyze.com.
